1. Information We Collect

Zenote values your privacy. We collect minimal information necessary to deliver our services, including:

  • Account Information: Email address, password hashes, and profile metadata (like usernames) provided during registration.
  • User Content: The notes, titles, tags, and formatting that you create within the app.
  • Technical Logs: Anonymous IP logs and browser agent details to ensure system stability and debug client errors.

2. How We Use Your Information

The primary purpose of collecting your information is to operate, maintain, and provide the features of Zenote. Specifically:

  • To authenticate your sessions and securely retrieve your workspace data.
  • To auto-save and synchronize your notes to the cloud database.
  • To allow you to filter, tag, search, and delete your thoughts on demand.

3. Data Security and Isolation

Your notes are fully secure and isolated. We implement the following database practices:

  • Row Level Security (RLS): Every database access request is checked via PostgreSQL policies. No user can read, create, modify, or delete data belonging to another account.
  • Encryption: Communication between your browser and our backend services is fully encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS protocol layers.

4. Your Choices and Controls

You retain complete ownership of your data. At any time, you can:

  • Edit or permanently delete your note records.
  • Create and detach custom tags from notes.
  • Deactivate or request full purge of your account profile.
